MEET KEVONNE CLARKE

I’m Kev Clarke, a creative of many hats but I tend to wear one at a time. Throughout my life, a recurring compliment I would receive is, “ you have a way with words.” As the winner of the 7th-grade spelling bee, I could see why they’d say that.

Attending the same Brooklyn high school as JAY-Z, Biggie, and Busta Rhymes, creativity was all around me. I began with music but quickly expanded after meeting a content curator for 2 Chainz, who sold me my first camera on Facebook Marketplace. This led me to shoot events like Rolling Loud NY, deepening my passion for capturing culture. I then created ToberTalks, a podcast where I spotlighted creatives across music, fashion, and art. What started as a podcast led to the development of a fashion brand with over 500 original pieces. Though people often told me to focus on just one path, I embraced all forms of creativity and it paid off.

When I discovered advertising, I became laser focused on building a career rooted in creativity. I knew that working alongside the sharpest minds would only make me better, so I immersed myself in three competitive programs: The Workshop, The One School, and D&AD Shift. They gave me the skills, discipline, and network to break into the industry. That path led to a full-time creative role at Ogilvy, where I had the opportunity to concept campaigns with award-winning teams for iconic brands like IKEA, Verizon, Coca-Cola, and Visa.
